101 Plus Prepaid Gift Card List

in Gift Card 101, prepaid gift cards

A prepaid card is different from a credit card and a debit card. Credit card allows a person to purchase an item or avail of a service but creates a monetary obligation to the bank. In effect, credit card owners are regularly billed with debt and balance statement.

A debit card functions differently because it is matched to a bank account. All transactions using a debit card automatically deducts the amount from the bank account. No money in the bank means transaction cannot proceed. Prepaid card does not create credit and it doesn’t need a matching bank account. The monetary value is kept within the card. Thus there is no risk in over-withdrawing or getting into debt. There is no requirement for a good credit standing or high income.

The characteristics of a prepaid card applies to most of the gift cards, hence they are automatically classified under the prepaid card category. Prepaid gift cards are gift cards that are paid in advance with a value before it can be redeemed for any item. With the monetary value enclosed in the card, no further obligation from the giver, and flexibility and freedom of choice for the recipient, this makes a prepaid gift card a perfect gift for any employee or customer

I am looking for a gift card that can be used at any store, I do not want a credit card. I want to use this card for a fundraiser for my temple. Temple Isaiah, Palm Springs, Ca., Sisterhood.
I am in charge of finding information on these programs.
We have, Macys, Sears, J.C. Pemmy, Westfield Malls, Ralph’s, Kroger, food 4 less, Von’s, Safeway, Stater Brothers. I
need something that we can obtain free of charge, without a service charge up-front.
You can contact: Susan Speiser, 760/321-5930

Thankyou.
