When buying a gift card as a present to somebody, people normally look for a value that’s just enough for the recipient. This usually does not exceed $1000 in value. This is the reason why most of the gift cards available have amounts much less than $1000. The common gift card denomination usually ranges from $20 to $100.

However, there are some businesses that choose to offer more. As a recipient, this is great news because of the large amount involved – meaning more money to spend while shopping.

$1000 Gift Card and Above

Here are the businesses that offer more or less $1000 gift cards:

• Callaway Gift Card – Callaway Golf Gift Cards are available in predetermined denominations from $25 to $2000
• Kindle Gift Card – Available in any amount between $5 and $5,000
• Four Seasons Hotel Gift Card – Denomination ranges from US$100 to US$5,000
• Jos A Banks Gift Card – Denomination between $25 and $1000
• Apple, iPhone and iTunes Gift Card – Available gift card value ranges from $25-$2500
• Jefferson Bank Gift Card – Card value ranges from $10 to $1000
• Luxor Hotel Gift Card – Luxor Gift Cards may be purchased online in any amount but not exceeding $500. Maximum value for the gift card is $2500
• Lowe’s Gift Card – Lowe’s gift cards are available in denomination between $5 and $5000
• Delmonico’s Gift Card – Gift cards are available in denominations from $50 to $1000
• Macy’s Gift Card – You choose the denomination from $10 to $1000
• Target Gift Card – The gift cards have no fees and are available in $10 to $1000 denomination
• Wal-Mart Gift Card – Dollar Denomination starts from $10 up to $2500 (or more)

Note that the list is based on the research done at the time of this writing. There might be some changes, so it is highly suggested that you visit the official sites of the gift cards stated.  As of now, there’s no $1000 Ikea gift card, but there are some $1000 visa gift card available.

A free $1000 gift card is unlikely to be offered, but there are some promos that provide them as prizes.
